Texas Organic Rearch Center (TORC)<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The mission\u00a0of\u00a0TORC is to\u00a0provide research and information to homeowners, farmers, ranchers and other decision makers with the goal of\u00a0helping\u00a0stop the broad scale\u00a0use of toxic chemical pesticides and fertilizers\u00a0which are currently being sold and used\u00a0in the futile attempt to grow crops and control insect pests and diseases.<\/p>\n

TORC's position is that\u00a0natural organic\u00a0products and\u00a0techniques work better in every way, including from an economic standpoint and actually improve the health of the soil as well as\u00a0the production of plants and livestock.\u00a0In short, TORC's\u00a0goal is\u00a0to improve health and thus\u00a0quality of life by making natural organic management programs\u00a0the new mainstream.<\/p>\n

The basic theory is that Nature knows best. Soil should be improved with compost and other natural organic fertilizers, rock minerals and natural mulches. Research exists to back that theory,\u00a0TORC's job is to provide additional research and classroom education based on current knowledge of natural organic techniques.<\/p>\n
